It
is a general misconception that you have to be fit to join a Martial arts
class this is not so, everyone is an individual and has different qualities
to bring to a session, not everybody wants to take part in the fighting
side of Martial Arts and in fact the training should not be seen as learning
to fight, but learning to develop your own body skills, conditioning and
strengthening the body and developing your self confidence and self control
along the way thus eliminating the need to fight.
The
training takes many different forms, from learning basic non contact techniques,
to working in a controlled situation with a partner, to full free fighting
and adapting these techniques to form an effective street defence system,
all of which you decide when or if you want to take part. We use focus
pads and kick shields to develop your focus, timing, speed and power.
